All the above. SMG to CSL spec is part of the character of the car and I love it.

I have an M2 and I wouldn't have the DCT from it in the CSL. It would be the thing of nightmares for me!

spot on

Interesting! I genuinely felt there would be more support for a DCT option! Well, I'm not a forum regular and I guess a lot of people, perhaps wisely, don't use their CSL as a daily.

Actually it's not a daily for me either as I don't strictly need a car but regardless, to my mind DCT would bring it closer to the dream.

If I do go ahead I'll certainly report back - would likely be a winter project this year. At the moment it looks like one would need to use the DCT shift stick / update the paddles which isn't ideal - needs to look 100% stock imho.

Select - I also live in a small Bavarian town - though probably more traffic than yours 😂 I'm pretty often at Ampfing Kartbahn abusing the tyres of my schalter kart - a proper sequential gearbox! If you're into karting or fancy getting the Bavarian CSL owners together drop me a line.

select/hoshy,

Are you south of Mûnchen? Just wondering as I pop over to just north of Salzburg now and again. Never know we might be able to meet up.

Tell the prick who owns Elise racing he owes me money still

Utterly untrustworthy.

Spent a little time in Nuremberg a few years back. Work related with Siemens.

Drove the salzburgring once with BMW. At one time we had a mountain storm. Never been so scared as we had to follow the instructor and honestly you could barely see the rear lights of the car in front. Some of the drivers wanted to stop as the rain was unbelievable.

When I'm next in Germany I will let you know.

Trawler, Select - I'm Munich area - also in for a meet.

Nathan - interesting - drop me a PM if you have a genuine story/warning.

He told me he was going to return a Cosworth part, never did despite repeated chasing, then said he was going to pay for it and never did despite repeated chasing. Bloke is a liar and a thief simple as that. Was trading as ATF Power at the time but closed it down (presumably with a load of debt) and set up new company.

The ECU that he "developed" is just a Syvecs in his own box, the DCT stuff was written by Syvecs and jointly paid for by him and these guys: http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/news...on-conversion/

so you can get exactly the same Syvecs ECU with DCT control from whifbitz and avoid having to deal with him.

Others are developing DCT solutions too, give it 6 months and there will be more choice.
