Not me Neil - v happy with my place in life :)

I've owned 2 of the 3 and they were great. I think some modern equivalents are lacking soul....206, 207? New shape Impreza, no ta....I still thing the 205 shape looks great.

Inside this old shell here is a twenty year old trying to get out. Age is just a number. Still waiting for my mid life crisis.

My old boss had a Renault 5 Turbo 1(Group 4) rally car with an ex works engine and all the paperwork from the import. He took me for a 'spin' on some back roads in Warwickshire in 1996. On full boost, it was nothing short of immense and with the airfix build it changed direction like a mosquito.

Despite the cage and harness, I really wouldn't have wanted a crash in one. The front engine bay was empty for starters with just some signs of R&D by Renault for a future 4wd drive system. Will never forget that 0-60mph / 100mph. With the turbo spooled-up, it was near as dammit instant.

The car is probably worth a small fortune now.

Kindest,

Jonathan

I bought this Raider a couple of days ago and i attend to restore it as a garage queen. It will be a long way project. I've started to collect the parts of the interior and the exterior. It is an original Raider.

The Raider on the e-bay looks really pristine but unfortunately it is not a LHD..
