I agree.... my initial thought was that 20 laps a day.... that would be..... well lets say quite expensive compared what we pay for a track day in Finland (50-100 euros a day).

But lets face it our tracks are total shite compared to most of the tracks in europe.

Obviously i'm misunderstanding the reality of driving in that track if 10-15 laps is the reality.... (traffic etc.)

Yeah I thought we'd get more in than that, but at 10-15, thats just average track day price almost. And its one of the best in the world! :notworthy:

Just remember guys, a lap at the Ring is over 13 miles long and can be anything from a flying low 8mins lap to approaching 10mins if the track is busy or has a few crash scenes during your lap!

10 laps = 90mins of sheer "awesomeness" (to quote Kung-Foo Panda!)

I find it's usually better to get laps in early in the day. The afternoons usually desend into totaly chaos and all you do is line up move forwards two yards and the track closes for an accident. I now get 8 or 10 laps in before 12-1pm then forget it for the rest of the day on the busy ones. Just look at nice cars in the car park and hit the bar to wind up for the nights food and beer.

I think the most I ever managed in a day was about 24, however its not uncommon to only manage 6 or 8 due to accidents, even if you are there all day.
If you intend on doing a few trips during the seasion then the annual ticket is fantastic, you can pop out and do a few cruise laps, just taking your time and really examining corners etc whereas if you are purchasing single or group tickets then you tend to feel that you must go quickly at every lap... get your moneys worth if you will.

Yep, I did almost 200 laps last year over 8 trips, a Jahreskarte breaks even at 60-something laps. I wish ED/Aral did a Clubcard :bigcry:
