Hi James, hope you're well. I'm currently in the process of getting my CSL booked in at Chandlers Brighton to look at a misfire on my CSL. It seems to be in 3/4th gear at 2300/ 2400. I got it out again after the winter having forgotten about it but I immediately noticed it on the first drive. I understand you don't work in the service department any longer but is there anything else I can add to help the technicians, or any one I should ask to look at it? I've not used Chandlers Brighton before but the reputation of yourselves and the service means the trip will hopefully be worthwhile. All the best, Chris

Hi James was looking for some advice. My mechanic says the oil leak I have is coming from the back of my engine from the head gasket. I'm not losing compression or mixing oil and water just an annoying leak.so I'm looking down the line of some preventive maintenance as my car is on 88000 miles now. So I'm thinking of doing the rod bearings and the head gasket and all of the important engine seals and gaskets vanois water pump etc. What should I be paying in parts and labour for this kind of job I've been quoted £1350 for labour alone from one specialist . Any advice would be much appreciated thanks

I agree with you James the Peugeot clamps look awful. I'd like to get a set from yourself how much are they?

    Hi James!

I'm driving the car again indeed, in fact I've just returned from Le Mans! It didn't miss a beat there, but sadly this morning it refused to start again (after 3 times it eventually started), so I'm afraid the fix wasn't permanent.

The mechanic changed the sensors for the hood, as the previous mechanic had tampered with them. Aside from that he made sure all relavant connections were properly connected, as he didn't seem to find any real fault. It seemed to have cured it for a while, will let you know if and when it comes back, I might ship the car over to the UK in that case.

    All the best,

    Frank

Haha, he keeps hinting at it, I'm trying to convince him at the moment.

Its not done it since we went away so finger crossed the relay has solved it!

mine were painted gloss. I have a spare set of standard ones if you want to get them painted.
