Hi James was looking for some advice. My mechanic says the oil leak I have is coming from the back of my engine from the head gasket. I'm not losing compression or mixing oil and water just an annoying leak.so I'm looking down the line of some preventive maintenance as my car is on 88000 miles now. So I'm thinking of doing the rod bearings and the head gasket and all of the important engine seals and gaskets vanois water pump etc. What should I be paying in parts and labour for this kind of job I've been quoted £1350 for labour alone from one specialist . Any advice would be much appreciated thanks

Apologies for the delay it's been a busy morning! Usual retail for these clamps is £192 all inc, but for CSL register members I can do these for £140+ vat, which is £168 all inc. This price also includes a new gasket and metal ring. I'd also have to charge postage If you would like them sent out to you.

I agree with you James the Peugeot clamps look awful. I'd like to get a set from yourself how much are they?

hi Brendan, thanks for getting in touch. Have a look at the link below, 0836Whimper bought some and posted photos. there are also so detailed photos earlier in the link. If you're after the cheap option then we cant get anywhere near the Peugeot clamps. I think they look awful though!
