that is a bit like the ads you see when a guy takes an MR2 and turns it into an F40 :)

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery :supz:
Needs the interior sorting though

I think everybody is a bit pissed when seeing all these standard M3s having had carbon roods installed, when knowing we won't be able to find a roof if we need one.

I just wonder what BMW would do if they see people installing CSL bits in non-CSL cars
They seem to be getting anal with the track/warranty etc.
Maybe new ideas (?).

:hahaha::hahaha:

Looks good, nothing wrong with a few mods, especially as you guys can't buy the CSL yet. It might not be OEM stuff, plenty of after market stuff in the States

Possibly more to the point Alex, where are they getting them from, as the US never got the CSL who is supplying the parts - US BMW Dealers?
If that's the case Munich should step in and say NO! You didn't take the CSL, your not having the parts. Or are they 3rd party after market Jobs.
Issues over Flippers and Roofs etc. are perhaps something that could be taken up with BMW M boys, when we meet up in May.

When can CSLs be legally imported into the US then? Is it after 15 years?

Pat themselves on the back for selling more parts

I like it, steel grey is nicer than silver grey IMO.

Didn't Montoya have a CSL imported in the States? I remember seeing a photo of it... it was a few years ago now.

I wish I could justify spending the money on the interior bits. I had the CSL console for a while but sold it to get my cup holders back.

This was my inspiration. CSL concept.

I didn't think it was ever actually registered over there?

Someone from BMW Switzerland told me that BMW is unhappy with what happened with the CSL parts that's why they set a lot of stuff to 'NLA'.
He said that for real CSL owners that need a part (i.e. roof) BMW Mobile Tradition will take care of the request and will provide the parts.

I am personally pissed because I am paying insurance to insure a CSL and wouldn't want to see plain M3 parts on it.
If that's the case, I should be paying plain M3 insurance....

Edit : I guess lessons-learned. Try to source M3 GTS parts for example... close to impossible.
I asked my brother (has a BMW dealership) to get me the brakes of the GTS and they need valid proof of ownership and justification why you need the bespoke parts...

if the wheels size is 8.5x19 and rear's is 10x19 try with 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 look better.
I was have same wheels and drive with these tyre sizes

Do you guys have any issues with tramlining on highways? Was this why they gave the ZCP an 8 inch wide wheel instead of the CSL's 8.5?

I expect safety concerns; more front grip means a snappier rear. The CS being a car for masses, perhaps BMW erred on the side of caution,
