Sorry to say John but you have more chance finding the Holy Grail than one of those. :supz:
I understand that they were only available when the cars were purchased new from the dealers, some were given to customers when they collected their cars as a token.
Some dealer sold them as an exclusive accessory, but from other bits I've come across they were supposed to have been issued in the same way the plaque was, one per car.
Very occasionally they come up on ebay, but I haven't seen one in years in the UK anyway, and they go for ridiculous money £250 (for a keyring?)
I've got pretty much everything: original order, sales invoice, press pack, launch photographs, sales brochures, Dealer 1:18 model, etc. but no keyring.
It's probably the sort of thing that a first owner might retain as a keepsake/memento, and not pass on.
I think 'Roland' has one, picture occasionally featured in random images.
Good luck with your search - I've given up looking.

I have one in its box I paid about £50 odd on eBay about 3 years ago I will sell though for enough to buy another csl :blalalala:
In all seriousness these are like hens teeth I have only seen the one on eBay when it was easy to search, you used to type in csl and get about 50 odd specific items now it's like 4000 odd.

Yep, that's the fellow, lucky you :supz:
If I bought another Cesil it would mean that I would have to search for 2, so perhaps I wont bother :hahaha:
Being key-less obviously has its advantages, no need for obscure, NLA keyrings:thumbs:

I remember seeing these on eBay a few years ago but never bothered buying one of course, now I'm raging. I have a very nice carbon fibre one with a wee round M badge on it.

Alot! - too much to use it with your key(s). I think it's wiser, if you're lucky enough to have one (and I don't) just to keep it in the box.
Getting it out occasionally just to admire it.
And then putting it back in it's box.
Wait a minute, that reminds me of my CSL car!

That'll be 50 times that rolling ball offer! Although I seem to recall a pint and a few free vodkas were included too ;)

Across the pond - what they lack in Cars, it would appear that they have more than made up for in Keyrings: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=412413&page=36.
The auction one fetched some 'ridiculous' figure, but it was for charity (added incentive), bought I think by LeinsCSL. :119: (He beat me to it!)
So you need to add at least another zero to the bid already placed

Nice....... Was having a look through my car stuff the other day & came across one of these & a carbon fibre blanking plate for the radio.
Not a bad result I guess!

Did the original order and sales invoice come with the service history of your M3 CSL or did u have to chase from BMW Dealers ????
I have 1:18 Auto Art (not BMW Dealer)
Sales Brochure
Poster
I think I have launch photographs
I think I have BMW UK Press Pack
The 1:18 Dealer models and M3 CSL bag got given with brand new M3 CSL

The original documentation I found in the service history file, when you lot went swanning off to Mecca, that's what started me off on the Vin quest to find the ever elusive '422'. :notworthy:
The 1:18th Kyosho (Dealer) models from memory were sold separately, on display in a glass case, can't remember how much but considerably less than what they are selling for now.
The CSL bag? The only bag I've seen is with the dealer model in 1:18th scale. However I have seen a CD of the CSL on Track? I would presume that this was included with the 'Press Pack' :hahaha:

I never knew there was a M3 CSL bag. I found out this random fact some time ago. Yes the models were separate though not sure whether first owners got them ?
Press pack I got from eBay. Has BMW UK/BMW GB documentation. No cd.
Who has #422 ???? How many owners and how many miles ?
What's the difference between original order and sales invoice ?
Can they be got from the original dealer if u don't have them ?

The CSL bag (Holdall) may have been for the Japanese Market, hence why Kyosho modeled it with the car.
The CD is usually separated from the Press Pack as it commands in excess of £50 on its own.
Nobody has No: 422 (Long Story) Just be thankful your not a South African owner, they also have a plaque but individually numbered, " ? of 65" :smokin: Problem being, they were only allocated 55
Ha, ha, same difference but one says "Paid" on it. I suppose you could get a copy if you spoke nicely to the original supplying Dealer.
