Don't get me wrong, I think the CSL is a wonderful car in many respects ... but the stupid cheap plastic rear console that BMW put in this car irrates me. Add that stupid easily scratched coated paint and a bit of OCD in an owner like me I break into sweat each and everytime somebody steps into the back seat, fearing they'll accidentally put too much weight on the console and crack it (as they do) or scratch off the paint coating and then I'd have to cough up over 500 pounds just to replace it!!!

So I did the next best thing ;)

That's a spare standard seat bench I had ... I just recovered it with a brand new rear CSL seat cover ....

Now I can sleep at night knowing the seat bench with the console is safely stored away .. :hahaha:

I think I need help. Although I actually think the rear looks better without the console!!

An interesting option, did you consider replacing the naff middle section with a Carbon Fibre one?

Yes I have ... I actually have a spare rear console I purchased from a member on here that I am wanting to get a mould made up so I can get a carbon fibre one made up - unfortunately I don't know anyone that knows how to take moulds or laminate a carbon fibre copy

Being wanting to perhaps try this myself, but I am a little worried that I might never get the console out of the mould :-D

Added to the previous post just for you - if you have a spare £641.70
More affordable are the Mirror back-plates at £53.82 for the pair.
Now to find the steering wheel, I'm thinking it must be of German origin.

:blalalala: that's for the gloves/t-shirt post. I don't know why I bother :hahaha:

It does take time to make it takes me around 12 man hours to make 3 dash parts but with drying times added it take around a week.

But i love the way it looks when done :smokin:

I thought the price might provoke such a response, hence the 'hint, hint' with Mark  that would tax his fabrication skills.
But fair play, he's doing a great job which can only get better with experience.

Send me a picture of the parts you were thinking about and i would need
the parts to laminate with carbon bet to source a set and keep original parts
