Afternoon all

Quite new here as I am searching for my first CSL, I have seen one in Manchester on a 53 plate that was presented very well, the only niggle I had was a larger gap between services, instead of the two year gap id expect it had three years but was done within mileage. I phoned Mondial to question this and they didn't seem to have an issue with it so long as it was done within mileage. It has had the Vanos done on warranty so I'm assuming the service book had been checked to approve the work.

My question is this, I'm going back on the weekend for a second viewing but Im thinking I should have an inspection done, what are peoples thoughts on this and who would you recomend?

For ref the car has warranty so things that might need doing should be covered.

Cheers Mike

Williams Manchester know that car so you could give them a ring before your second look. Williams have quoted me £288 for a BMW 124 point inspection.

Cheers lads, I spoke to the guys at Darren woods and was quoted £60 which is cheap so would defo use them. I need to be sure I'm buying the right car as I am clearing my savings account for this bad boy!

At that price, if you are considering this car I would ask the seller to take it to them to be checked out, at your cost. To put it in perspective, I have spent that amount on fuel several times over traveling around the uk looking at cars for sale.

Exactly, it's not a big spend but could prove to be invaluable if the car checks out. Appreciate the input lads, it's been four years since I've frequented car forums, (my last 'nice' car being my evo 9 GT) defo helps though, especially when looking to buy.

Is a good plan ramsden and what my friend did when buying a car a distance away before wasting time/money on travel.
