for a few grand less you can get one with more miles as well.

What if you havent got 'more grand' and want a CSL badly and this is the only one you can afford!

Trouble is it seems to be a sellers market.....

How many CSLs are for sale country wide at the moment 10-12??? They range from £20-45??? if you have a budget of £23k theres 1 or 2 maybe 3 for sale (I've not checked). Personally I'd rather look at the 1 NJ has for sale for £23,500 with 68k on clock or wait for 1 to come up for sale with lower mileage, but if anyone is like me I can't sit about waiting for a car.

The 10 RXG (04), Silver Grey, with 68,200, 4 owners, priced at £23,500 is not overpriced, if anything IMO it's underpriced. That car was advertised privately by the owner on PH for the same sort of money.

The other one is again a car that NJ had for sale on PH; ME53 BWH, Silver Grey, 15,400mls, 4 owners, price: £37,995. It looks as though they've used his old pics for the add.

(A bit like 'Tommy R's motor which went South to Hexagon and went up in value only by 8K, this one has looks to have traveled further North and probably got a typo in the process)

Providing the ex Litchfield (10 RXG) car has a complete Service history, it represents far better value for money, at least its been driven not stored. The Reg is worth 1K all day, I'm surprised to see it still on the car.

AK53 FFE was advertised last month on Pistonheads for £24995. Even at £22995 it is still on the expensive side for a 116K example.

The CAT-D from NJ is now down to £20995 not £23500, looks like a bit of a bargain at that money if it is straight enough!!

The last one I saw advertised with over 100K was MV53 KSZ, Silver Grey, 106,000mls, 4 owners, priced @ £18,975, for sale by Dave Fox Prestige Cars in Staffordshire.
Far more realistic IMO, and priced to sell with a deal to be done at £18.5.

I don't get it? Do these cars spontaneously combust at 100,000+ miles or something?

Is it straight? Is it properly serviced? Is it looked after? Does it have a clean history? Does it drive ok?

If all the above check out I couldn't care about mileage unless I'm looking at an investment.

:hahaha: :smt073:hahaha: This seems to be a very common British misconception regarding the 100K milestone. I don't get it either :smt017
Just look at the cars For Sale on Mobile.de... mileage doesn't seem to matter as much as condition and the length of TUV

quote from nick johnson-

15500 Miles and a 14500 Mile car due it tomorrow I currently have an ex MunichLegends car with 15500 miles in totally stunning condition all original paint with paint gauge confirmation and also a 14500 mile car coming tomorrow also in Silver Grey. Just thought I'd pop them on here and let you guys know about em.
Pictures on website. I also have an amazing 68k car with better history than most CSL's.

now nick see's a lot of csl's, and how i read that is that he see's a lot of miss used low milage csl's with poor history. the 68k car looks mint, and tbo 68k one a csl is not a lot of miles for a 10 year old car. it seems the uk is obsessed with low mileage and not condition/history. look at gt3's, ferrari's ect there milages are all around the same! it seems some owners who enjoy and look after there cars have no choice but to trim mileages every year, just so they don't get stuck with them! look at europe and mileages are A LOT higher, and its not because they get used more!!!

seems a lot would rather a low MILEAGE cat D, than a-
excellent service history and 68k :smt120 seems daft to me

I would say dream world but you've got to be realistic. That's why I've bought mine at 107k. As it said - a value csl
It's a mint car, very tidy and looked after with full BMW history. Just had a new clutch too. It has signs of use but I won't do many miles in it. Well 100 this weekend showing my mates. I was a bit shocked at 18 mpg though lol. I love it !

I would be interested to know how many miles these M3 CSLs can last.

Well why would anyone pay that for 116k mile when a lower mileage one could be had for the same assuming same condition. Congrats on the 107k M3 CSL I am sure was a cracking steal :-)

still no worries
