Where's it hidden??
I thought it was on the passenger side just under the screen (I'm a bit worried about removing all the screws out of the lid and breaking something under there or something popping out that shouldn't lol).
I only want to change it as a precautionary measure...

It's funny you should say that as that's where I decided to put it with the thought of " it's not broken so I'll just leave it ". Just wanted to know where it is just incase...
Cheers peeps

I changed all my coil packs and lambda sensors as a precaution this year.:)
2 weeks later missed half a trackday with a faulty lambda.:bigcry:Put the old ones back on.
There's a lesson there somewhere.:smt045

Now thats just bloody annoying when that happens.... I was thinking about keeping a spare coil pack in the car just incase.

If you still have the bremis I'd stick 6 new ones in regardless.

I'll have to have a looksie... If I change all 6 I may as well stick a set of plugs in as well.

Nath, what's the issue with the old Bremis? Had them on mine from new. Only changed them this year. Never had issues.

The old 'Bremi' coils were notorious for breaking down for no reason, compared with the uprated Bosch items they were weak.
To be fair though, my old E46 M3 had Bremi's in for over 90k miles and they were fine, but I had two Bremi's fail on my CSL last year so replaced the lot with the Bosch ones.

I can get a set of Bosch coils and a set or iridium plugs for £150 so I'll just do the lot...

That's a good question Al. Mine is still running on the Original OEM BREMI CPs without any issues at all. During a recent "Inspection 1" Gareth didn't mention anything untoward either.
Having previously read about BOSCH replacement I thought about swaping over but you know the saying "If it ain't broken... don't fix it" ;)
Having said that I always carry a couple of spare coil packs (just in case) they finally start playing up :banghead: It would be interesting to know the full story.

That is a decent price if that's including VAT and the plugs are NGK IRIDIUM :smokin:

Beauty of running a parts place :-D
The iridium plugs are cheaper than the std 1's lol

IIRC the OEM M3 CSL plugs are Iridium, labelled as BMW part but most likely made buy NGK, Bosch or BERU ;)

Can get em for £129 if I just add them to a stock order (which is what I'll do as I'm not paying courier charges as I'm not desperate tbh)
Cheers anyway.
