Should have just carbon wrapped the thing Mark

Bad luck mate, I did the same on the wife's mini JCW 2 days after I put some brand new 18 inch JCW wheels on it :( - that sinking feeling when you hear it coming in contact with the hard stuff - the curbs always win.

I am sure we have all done it at some stage. I did it at the passport control coming back from the Nordschleife. It was on the nearside so I had to judge the space to the booth and did not aim off for their bulbous kerbs.

Only my track wheels but still.

What a shame Mark :(

BTW, are you going to use the "color" ?
Listen a funny story.

A guy from Greece phoned up BBS to ask about the color code of the CSL wheels.
They gave him the color code of the standard BMW wheels (the color was introduced in 2005).
Then he was insisting that the color code that BBS gave him is the correct one, because they are manufacturing the wheels :hahaha: and Roland from BMW doesn't have a clue etc etc.

Any good body shop can do it just make sure you use the right paint
i posted it in the members section

The father in law is a dab hand at repairing damaged or cracked or bent wheels, he does no end of the newer style BMW rims with run flats could be of interest if you kerb something. Gotta be carefull with body shops as they fill the dents/cracks with body filler and not actuall metal ! !

I guess i should add, Precision Weldings the name.

To keep the site up and running and to get the discounts for the likes of performance friction
and competition car insurance to name but a few

And not forgetting the paint code for the csl wheels :supz::supz::supz:

Well its not a paint but the question was "how did you repair that" and you cant repair that with paint alone.

I am sure he reshapes the alloy and then sands primes and then paints it

All i know is its a fantastic job he does with them :supz:
