Massive massive markup on discs from main dealers. Ford for instance offer staff discount of 50% off the Rrp, so in theory it'd be easy to offer a 35% discount and out a few sets of discs if you have a large over stock laying about.
No different to what we do in the after market car parts... buy a big stock in at a knock down price and out it all for a quick turnaround profit.

Just to give you an idea of prices I've just picked a random part number at work....
RRP inc VAT - £7.43
Cost price inc VAT - £2.71
-35% off the rrp inc VAT - £4.83
My trade customers who spend say £5000 pcm pay £3.61 inc VAT
Its very easy to make a big offer and still make £££
It's just like the DFS "Sale" lol

At that sort of £££ you'd be made not to buy a set for when required IMO....
and let's be honest you'd be unlucky to miss a DFS sale lol

Parts mark up is rediculous.
We get 40% off certain things from main dealers, dependent how much we buy.

At that price is there any reason not to use them with an AP set up. I know when I first got my CSL in 2007 the buzz was change the front discs (AP or PF) but the AP set up was fine with the OEM rear discs.
I assume it was just a matter of the OEM fronts wearing out very quickly with 6 pot APs or lack of performance (- ??).
Sorry Bounce I am not sure if you are running with an AP set up. Likely you are.

PipOem all round mate, except for uprated pads and fluid.I don't do enough trackdays to warrant spending all that cash on APs,also not bothered about gaining a couple of seconds a lap and I find the stock set up very good. The larger discs and coloured calipers do look good though:wink:
