I want a set of these badly!:-D
Sizes seem ok (bold what I would buy)
Fronts 19x8.5 +32 or 19x9 +20
Rear 19x9.5 +35 or 19x10.5 +25
Would this fit on stock suspension? I havent been able to see any pictures of the setup.
Black with the rim protector, has anyone done this before on a e46?

Founds some pics...
"Here are the details for this setup:
19x8.5 ET 35 Front with 245/35/19 Tires
19x10.5 ET 27 Rear with 275/30/19 Tires
As far as rub - there is none! And are they uncomfortable? Well there are a whole bunch of variables that would have to be discussed in order to come up with a conclusion on that point but generally from what we have heard and because of our hi-speed on-the-car wheel balancing it rides smooth and comfortable."

There is no doubt that's a good looking wheel :supz: but I'm not a fan of that EURO stretch look of the rear tyres :banghead:
IMHO 10.5 J may be just too much for the E46 M3 rear.

I used those wheels on my CSL. they needed spacers on the front. 10mm if i remember.
There are pictures on here somewhere check my profile out or search threads started by me.
What did surprise me was the BBS wheels were heavier than the standard CSL wheels.

The CH-R is a nice wheel and it's supposed to be a bit lighter from the not-so-light CH.
The rear size is a bit massive in my opinion.
I cannot understand why they did this ?
Maybe the American market with the latest trend of stretched tyres sh1t.
Here is also a good option for buying them -> http://www.rimstyle.com/
I want a set too, but the rear size is putting me off :smt055

If it were me I'd buy 9.5 front and 10.5 rear and wider tyres maybe 265 and 275/285

I have to agree with you Steve :) After 3 years of messing about with different wheels/tyres I'm back on OEM 19'' beauties with full Phat Cups :supz:

I'm considering just having the std rims a bit darker to hide the poxy brake dust a bit better lol...
Steve
I love these wheels.......
They look awesome.
They are my personal choice on this car.
However.
The silver version look very good as well. I think Matty has these on his car and yes I like!
But
All are reinforcements of the original csl wheel.
And brake dust is a bitch on the silver wheels.
So....
Anyway
Go for it.

If heavy means stiff, don't write them off, it has it's benefits apparently.

OEM CSL 19 x 8.5J -> 12.6kg
OEM CSL 19 x 9.5J -> 13.8kg
BBS CH 19 x 8.5J -> 11.8kg
BBS CH 19 x 10J -> 12.8kg
BBS LM 19 x 8.5J -> 10.9kg
BBS LM 19 x 9.5J -> 11.2kg
BBS CH-R 19 x 9J -> 11.9kg
BBS CH-R 19 x 10.5J -> 12.6kg
BBS RS-GT 19 x 8.5J -> 9.9kg
BBS RS-GT 19 x 10J -> 10.4kg
The CSL wheels are beautiful, I agree.
However, they are very heavy.
The BBS CH is much lighter than the CSL wheels (1kg per wheel).
The BBS CH-R is much lighter than the CH, job well done BBS.
The BBS LM is light, but quite expensive.
The BBS RS-GT is a lot lighter. I always loved these wheels... :whistle:
BBS LM's are beautiful but lots of £££££'s :bigcry:

Were you running cups on both wheels ?
Because the cups are very light tyres.
I have a set of BBS CH too, but I have winter tyres on them.
I would love to weight them on my own, but I see a pic with a scale so I guess they are right ?
Has anyone weighted the OEM CSL wheels ?

Fair comment....
I had cups on the CSL's so maybe that's why they seemed lighter... my apologises.
I had Falkens on the BBS.
Best to ask Shimmy as he would have handled the CH with the tyres off.

Has anyone weighted the OEM CSL wheels ? i had the ch`s with cups on and csl`s with 888`s and the bbs were definitely heavier funkster of here bought them so im sure he can confirm this. these were the latest ch`s aswell withe the thicker bead on the rear as the earlier ones were prone to cracking.

Not sure a weight obsession is really needed with these small differences.
Remember with Aluminum it's stiffness does not vary with the different grades of alloy type, or if it's forged and so on. It gets stronger, but not stiffer.
So a lighter wheel has to loose a bit of stiffness as it has a thinner gauge but better strength material. For a track wheel the stiffness can be very important, i.e. the tyre gets more support.
The best track wheel will be the one that has the design that gives the best balance between stiffness and weight, but it almost certainly wont be the lightest wheel.
