That looks a very serious bit of trackday kit, you've got yourself there.
I bet you can't wait to give it a blast at Oulton (just for starters, being probably the most local).
There's a few coming up later in the month: http://www.trackdays.co.uk/tracks/oulton_park.htm (http://www.trackdays.co.uk/tracks/oulton_park.htm)
Hope it performs as good as it looks.

Afterthought - Congratulations on your new purchase (I forgot, carried away by the images)
It just needs some 'M Sport' graphics and the obligatory BRSCC on the wings or doors and it will look muck quicker standing still. :notworthy:
Hope you've got a Trailer or Transporter, that's the only way that little beasty will get a go on the M6.

Hope it is a good buy as you said. The past owner made it track friendly with the Butler Motor sport company.
M3 manual gear box , uprated friendly clutch and some other goodies. Hopefully a very much arrive and drive type car. Who suits me.

Hmm. Well i thought all race cars came with logbooks which basically documented which races they have been entered into.
Either way, it lioks like it will a total blast to drive...all that power in such a low center of gravity....

The car was sold by Butler Motorsport to the owner. I think it has run on Kumo races and other before. I am sure some docs must be available. Will fish more into it.

Thanks for proposal Neil , ( Stickers :-D ) . Will look into it.
Will post some photos soon too. Some of the cars here http://bookatrack.com/-pX?21670
Very wet and cold in the morning, dried up by the afternoon but cold. Very slow for me this time :-D . Good for a taster of the car as never drove it before. Few little things will need to be sorted during the winter with a new service.
The Motec system will need a slight remap as very juddery power on light throttle, few sticky moments with back end sideways due to that. And few times a bit of vibration on deceleration. May be the mounts. Have until march to sort it :)

Give me a shout if you want to discuss anything MoTeC, have lots of experience with S54 on M800 and can point you in direction of the best mapper for that engine, can also have a look over your map and see if there is anything I'd have done differently. Does it have ABS \ TC?
Edit - Just checked my records - I updated the PDM configuration in that car Nov 11.

Thank you Nathan,
No ABS and no TC. Just hardcore stuff :smt087 , scary at Oulton in December :)
It defenetly needs a service as the mapping seems awfull at low revs whilst not on full throatle. Made me almost spin few times in the wet.
Was thinking of taking it back to Terry at Buttler Motorsport as he built most of the car to it's present specs but will defenetly consider your help in mapping too. Don't know if mapping is Terry's forte but didn't speak to him about it yet.
Thanks again for the offer.

No, terry outsources mapping, terry is a really good guy though, makes some nice cars.
Just to be clear I would be simply passing you a name, not making anything. The guy I would recommend mapped the Geoff steel 24 hour winning car on my recommendation and made a big difference over the previous map in terms of drivability.

If it has logging in the dash or ECU the best bet may be to do it at a circuit and get feedback from you and the logs after each session and alter before sending you out, if it hasn't got logging then we can enable it. First step would be to look at some logs from your previous outing combined with a description of what is happening and under what conditions.
Failing that he'd travel up to a dyno near you.

Makes sence. Will have it looked at shortly. Will get the car serviced first as no outings until March now and then will source help.
The problem seems to be on the 1st 1/4 of the travel of the pedal, even on neutral. Like if somtething is clugged. The iddling is fine, it's just that 1st 1/4 quarter. Presume it's mapping.
Thanks.

The drewling bit is what made it for me. Took me one day to give an offer.
Always a gamble when you don't get to drive the car but all seems to be going the right way surely when servicing and re-mapping is done :)

The Golf was mental. The fastest thing i ever drove. But was lacking the garage WOW factor. Didn't want to look at it when wasn't driving it.
My wife thought it was the "Inbetweeners" car and warned me to leave it in garage well hiden from neighbours.
So told her i did a straight swap with BM with no money exchange
First words were, that looks expensive :smt120 , followed by "how many tyres do you need ? Only two sets of dry and one of wet  with a quick shut down of the garage door and my favourite say " It's an investement Darling" "Trust me"
Followed by her favourite say "Trust me there will be no happy ending with that story" So here i go again :wanker:
