morning gents

iv got a weird sounding squeek, rattle, tapping god only knows from the back under the rear seats / in the boot area.

at first just thought it was loose trim but iv checked everything and no joy, then it deemed on me could this be the sound of some cracks forming in the subframe ??

have you boys who have had this problem ever heard of any thing like this related to the sub frame because its all i can think of now :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Could be time for a subframe check.....

Assuming when your driving?? Could be broken rear springs, discs, bushes or subframe. Worth checking in that order and getting subframe inspected anyway.

had new discs on it 2.5k ago
had new springs last year
could well be the bushes didnt think of that and i have a sub frame check about 3k ago.
i did have a spirited drive through europe last month through the alps and its been ever since then.

I have a really annoying creek / squeek from my rear seat. Only know it's that as it disappears when i remove them.

For all the time it takes it might be worth a go?

Here you go mate,

Rob has done a really good "how to"

Id just go with removing the base and the two backs 1st and see how that goes.
I always tend to leave in the side bolsters.

if you pull off real slow does it make noise?and if you pull off harder is it worse?could possibly be prop shaft centre bearing coupling.the rubber piece between the bearing and mounting may have started to split but not ripped completely yet.

no,

no noise under aceleration at all its more when i let off the power at slower speeds ?????

I had similar but droney noise slowing down or crawling in traffic turned out to be my diff :banghead:

that sounds like front coupling also.could also be the diff.they whine mostly when off power but if ya get a banging check ya prop first.best thing get it on a ramp and turn off dsc drive it slowly see what ya get while lifted on the ramp.
