For those of you that have sold your csl's...how do you cope
My heart says to keep and my head says to sell for a practical diesel due to increased mileage and practicality :bigcry:

This is the second time i've tried to sell in 2yrs. I changed my mind back then and enjoyed a another year :-D

:bigcry:

Buy a cheap run around & keep the csl.

Good advice by Peter...after my 1st track day is the CSL last month don't think I could ever sell. Wouldn't know what to change for to be honest...911 GT3 RS maybe, if my numbers come up that is.

i have a diesel daily runaround to which now keeps the miles off the CSL after she had a pretty busy first two years of ownership!

I'll tell you early next year, but I fear that it won't be difficult to say good bye :whistle:

It's a car ... you'll get over it.

I've only ever been emotionally attached to a car when it's actually under my ownership ... once sold the feeling disappears with it.

I've always moved up a rung of the performance ladder with each car so its been something to look forward to. Its hard to think what will beat the CSL for all round ability at the price. I drive a Smart around to keep the mileage down!

Same here and there is nothing at the moment, than can compare to the csl. What other car can you do this with?

1. You can load it up and go on holiday;
2. Stick the kids in the back;
3. Track it;
4. Do 170mph + (on track of course..)
4. Limited edition so you hardly see any others;
5. Not much depreciation compared to some cars;
6. A well looked after CSL may appreciate in years to come.

Until another car comes along that can do all, the csl will be staying with me.

Here here! :-D

My first child is due in Feb. I've lost count of the times my mates keep saying that "You'll have to get rid of that fancy CSL...". I take great delight in setting them straight that i really dont have to! :-D

Anyway, the missus can get a diesel estate for all that 'mundane family stuff' - lol! :smt044

Glendog, the csl is my only car so i'll replace it with a diesel estate for the wife....then maybe late next year look for a sg one rather than the sb i've got now.

Remember people these csl's are noisey, uncomfortable and clunky. :blalalala:
I'd store it in the garage and i'll take off your hands when i'm ready to come back :wink: :hahaha:

No there are not...I find mine very comfortable and only noisey when you want them to be...bu then I did have a Lotus before so comfort wasn't it's strong point.

My CSL is my only car. When i said 'missus' - i meant my missus...! She has a small Toyota Yaris at the moment so she can 'trade-up' to an estate. :whistle:

I have to disagree to be honest. I find the CSL very comfortable - i have driven 12k miles in mine since April. I also don't think the CSL is particularly noisy or clunky - just depends how it's driven of course and in what 'S' setting the gearbox is in.

We're all in different situations after all but i can't help think that you would miss the CSL if you got rid - for the very reasons i would imagine that you bought it for in the first place? That's in addition to the deteriorating trade-in price you would get just now - IMHO :blalalala:

Congrats!!! If I had a pound for everyone who took delight in telling me that I would have to sell the csl.............I could afford a black one as well!

I had a baby in April. At first it was a 2 person job putting the baby in the back of the csl - one person gets in the back and then baby is passed in and put into the child seat but after I got used to handling the baby, I could sort of hold her close to me and squeeze us both into the back. Wasn't a good look at the supermarket, but who cares! Also, the car seat didnt come out with baby in - only at an angle that horrified the grandparents lol. Once they get a bit bigger and less fragile it gets easier.
