Hmm, interesting.
Personally I'm not really a fan of the diff we have. I find it way too snappy.
My old E36 M3 Evo was really progressive and easy to look like a hero in but the CSL seems a lot tougher.
I heard of racers putting in a clutched diff in the E46 - did anybody do it and can related experience?

I am looking at replacing my diff.....putting in e36 M3 evo internals with a 3.91 crown and pinion......there are a few places that can do this and have been advised by quite a few people that this is a very good option.....

Drexler was certainly one of the very best things I did to mine, traction was miles better but it is also so much more progressive than the M diff when it lets go, well worth it.

Glad to hear my thoughts are tying up with others.
It's a funny thing that m-lock diff... sometimes I love it but it's just too unpredictable.
