While looking out my exhaust (also for sale) I came across the rear diffuser that I replaced on my car not long after I got it. This is a genuine BMW item (see the pictures) that was very unfortunately damaged by a piece of wood that was thrown up by a lorry on the inside lane. I flicked round it, but despite going between the track of the wheels, it bounced on the ground and caught the back of the car as it rebounded from the road.

The damage was confined to the (bare) carbon section to the left of the left hand paid of exhaust pipes. I cleaned it up and made a very temporary repair (araldite and card) that at least retained the integrity of the unit and stopped any movement, but before doing anything more permanent I replaced it with a new one from (I think) Cooks Ferry at a cost of some £750.

I'm now very unlikely ever to share garage space with an E46 CSL again, so the logical thing seems to be to let someone else have a go at this. The pic below show that the item is SG and also I have tried to include some of the BMW stamps and one of the damaged area. I am putting it on eBay too, but can easily pop it in the boot of my 3.0csl and take to Silverstone for anyone who wants a closer look. Given that the repair should be simple enough for anyone who nows how, together with the frightening cost of these things new, I'd like to see anything north of £300 for it please.
