Yes mate, I'm new here. I drive my 2001 M3 in Hong Kong. Would like to tune my car following the path of CSL as close as possible (even I know it's almost impossible).

I start trimming weight and just learnt that even replacing a Braille battery cause huge impact on the corner weight balance.

So I'd like to get the baseline of CSL and trimming weight bit by bit and then complete the setup with a set of coilover with adjustment.

All I have is here failed... my battery was OEM weight one too, suspension is Intrax.
Car is stripped of rear seats and all carpets, but has a roll cage in it and the front seats are out replaced with Recaro Pro Race ones.
Corner weights are at the top, with a total weight of 1405 kgs.

Allowed for the 30kg passenger when setting intrax up.

waiting for the light seat arrives around end of Oct. if it's ok, i'll order the passenger side.

ordered carbon fiber sunroof delete from Chad and should arrive around mid Oct.

these should free me up around 30kg combined (only driver side seat + sunroof).

i don't know if carbon front bumper is significant on weight saving? any figures? i know the normal M3 front bumper weight 4kg. aluminium bumper carrier weight 3.3kg.

same as CF interior, not sure how much weight can be saved.

for glass, u mean front windscreen or rear? i'm not going to take away too much weight from the rear to prevent too upset of the balance. for front windscreen, i'm not sure there is lightweight item for our M3?

for sound insulation, i heard i can save 15kg from it. but my garage warns me on the noise that i'm going to get even if i cover the carpets back to the car. so still not decided yet...

Weight about 11.5 stone. Got the odd porno in the glove box buts thats only a few grams.

If you strip all interior and just have 2 fronts seats then there is nothing in it between e46 m3 and csl.

Stick some cups or slicks on and you wont be getting passed by much on track
