Wondering if anyone will be at the NL / Circuit days track day at Spa on October 10th?

Would someone be kind enough to let me shotgun for few laps? Dont think i will be in a CSL by then and would really appreciate the experience :beer:

I'm there as part of DN Ring Monday, Spa Tuesday. Not on track Wednesday but might show my face.

However, now probably not able to make it because of work so Duncan may take my spot.:bigcry:

I know.:( Still working on it. I'm trying to find a way to get my CSL over to a clients house in Antwerp next week sometime. He said he'll store the car for me before and after DN weekend. If I can do that I just might be able to collect it with my truck after a spot of work in Belgium/Germany and head for Ring in time. However, I still need to rearrange a Monday meeting for Wednesday in Brussells. Feckin' nightmare!:banghead:

Shimmy and O'neill id much appreciate a passenger ride ill be holding you up in my RS you cant miss it its in JPS colours lol. Will collar you in the pit lane at some point unless i get to meet you earlier in the day / trip am at the ring prior also.

I only go out for 20 mins at a time, if you cant get a pass on the day you can borrow mine when im in if you like.

Also there will be my friend Jason (Rager54 on this forum) who has just sold his CSL and was excited to bring his brand new Atom to Germany until he managed to bend it quite substantially at Snetterton last week...doh :bigcry:

Pete, glad you came over and jumped in, Oneill was desperate to slow me down with some extra passenger weight but I think we still got away from him. I hoped you enjoyed the ride, you certainly smiled!

Gt3 guy was on the next table to us that evening. Actually seemed like a nice fella. I know Russ well too, and he's just a big cuddly teddy bear. (Won't take no crap tho...) Amazing how the heat of the moment gets people fired up. Bless dear Hannah, sounds like she cooled the pair off pretty quickly!

yep, i had my own spare "get me home" pads but were no good for 50 laps so ONEill gave me a tesco bag with used ones and brand new ones .......i took the new ones:thumbs:

Unfortunately not. Saw three SG cars there, and if I'm not mistaken yours was perhaps the one with the number plate "Shimmy" on it :whistle: . Saw the car in the paddock but nobody near it when I passed, so couldn't come to say hello. Another one was parked suspiciously near the gents toilets and I think there was another one with standard brakes.

Did the 'ring on Monday and Spa on Tuesday and had an awesome couple of days, learning the tracks better. Was there with my mates - two with black GTRs and one with a black Megane RS. Had another mate there that has a yellow E30 325 race car and had a PAX in that. It was the most fun; slow on the straights but ridiculous under braking and in corners. A lot of car for £5k.

Had some disastrous issues with my brakes when there. Nobody should make my mistake, which is to buy Pagid RS5s on the basis that they have broadly the same properties as the RS29s (which I couldn't source in time). The RS5s totally ruined my discs at the ring and I had to get some PF01s and get the discs skimmed on the Monday evening.

Attached are a couple of photos. Got some good video of the 'ring which I'll put up. Sorry I didn't get to meet those of you that were there - next time. Car goes in to Elms for subframe repair tomorrow, so I guess that's my trackdays done for the year.
