I prefer the flap working correctly.
I found it used more fuel on steady run with flap off too. But the noise on downshift at low revs is much better flapless:smokin:

did a test not so long ago,
you only use more fuel because you want to boot it all the time, on a steady run theres nothing in it, also the car picks up quicker from low revs.
im a keen flap les funner these days !

Got to say I havent noticed any difference with Fuel since removing mine. I can still manage 30mpg on a nice steady dual carrigeway run :smokin:
Mine stuck so had it repaired under warranty and then removed it to save it happening again.
