Anyone else out there ? Looks like a half day on the Friday which is a bonus :thumbs: .. and a late start on Saturday to give the beer head from the Friday time to clear, and all day Sunday. DTM is on at the GP circuit as well.

I'm in Bonn/Cologne 15-16 but can't stay to the weekend :(

Nice very fast not been out in one hint hint drove a 996 x50 turbo nice but not for me. GT3 rs yer there the ones always going past me at the ring them and the Nissan GTR we will have to go out together this time meet you threr a few times now and never had a blast with you see you soon

Cracking afternoon on track, only had to flag the one incident in phlanzgarten when a biker fell off ! No bugger else stopped and being a first aider I felt obliged, so legged it up the hill with my hi viz and did my duty , saw Conleth come though like the good guy he is he slowed up, others didn't so I dropped my shorts to my ankles in an effort to draw attention to my flag waving as some muppets were still on it ! I then looked round and the biker and his mate had buggered off ! I asked at control if they refund you a lap when you stop and risk life and limb to avert a major pile up and got the typical. Nein ! So bollocks I say , next time some other fooker can deal with it ... Unless its a UK reg !
Had a chat with Conleth and Clayton, but of course Conleth has moved to the dark side ! I will still talk to him of course , but I don't think our relationship will have that same sparkle as it did !

Relaxing with a beer on the Rotterdam ferry after a cracking weekend. Good to see dunc and meet Matt. Red hot all weekend and not many closures. No ques at the barriers at all either :thumbs:

Loved the laps following clayton, cheers for that, roll on October mate!

Getting more to grips with the beetle RS now. Think will be a weapon when I learn it.

It was hot indeed, saw mine into the red zone along Kesselchen so had to short shift and drop revs part way round, temp soon dropped however but annoying to say the least.
Clayton - sorry didnt get a chance for a CSL lap mate, Ando stole my car whilst I wasnt looking !

I was getting worried myself when my water temp was going near the red zone. When I stayed off the trottle for 1/2 bends it went back to towards the middle. Is that normal? Temp on Saturday was about 35 deg:( Cracking weekend:-D

Thats comforting to know then, so not unique to mine. As you said, ease off for about 20 ~ 30 secs and it dropped fast .. weird.
It has gone into limp mode though, and management light on,happened halfway home in Belgium.
Only BMW would come up with a car that does 90 mph in limp mode !:hahaha:
Going into Elms tomorrow for yet another Broom head ... or is it a handle ??;)
Brake pressure sensor appears to be playing up too.

My foot was flat to floor, and through the kick down, which is as technical as I can explain it mate!
Sport on - S5 - M sport on (as in a bit of traction off) AC on - windows shut - car unwashed - driver sober.

Mine did this at Spa, switched the AC of and it was fine.:thumbs:

It seems to happen only on 100% trottle on the uphill sections. I turned the aircon off & turned on the heater full blast to dissipate some of the heat but that didn't improve things much.
Went out Sunday morning first thing, temp 23deg but water temp never went past 3/4 way.

Hope it's not the HG:mad:

it seems to be all get this as cars get older

hot days, heat soaked car, 100% throttle plus maybe uphill extra load, but full airflow dont help,

solutions being sought

It's possible however oil temps seem to rise first ........very possible that new a/c rad will solve it though, that's next for me after cats

Decided to do the decent thing and slow down for the yellows. Was surprised to see dunc up there on the marshalls post with a hi vis. Can't believe the bastard biker fooked off with out saying thanks. What an asshole. RS is going well. But shouldn't mention that on here.

Cheers clayton For those laps, it started to click with the gt3 after that. Took a well driven Csl to show me the way!

No probs bud was a good weekend. Now looking forword to Oct 8th with more fast clear laps hopfuly sunshine agian gutted not to get a lap behind dunc but maybe next time a dunc? My temp also went up on Sunday let off for a mo and went back down to norm out side tep said 37, very hot
