Hello everyone!

I was wondering how easy it is to spot after market copies of these wheels??
Is this an issue when buying a CSL??

I'd appreciate any advice! Cheers

1. They are not magnesium
2. Bbs stamped on inner spokes
3. Part numbers stamped on inner spokes
4. Don't usually have BMW written on face near centre cap if replica.

I didn't think any of the reps had BMW stamped on the face.

5. Dual tone paint - inner drum colour is different to the spoke colour. Spoke colour is titanium, the inner rim drum is lot lighter (not sure what colour one would call it)

Rep have BB5 as opposed to BBS on the back of the spokes and weigh a lot more.

Yep, also less indentations and holes with some of the fakes.
If you look at some of the older posts on the E46 forums you should see some pictures of this.

FYI, my spare genuine set will be in the for sale section in the coming weeks
if you are after some.

Kindest,

Jonathan

Yes, I bought my CSL from him & an Integrale 16v 13 years previously (that was his 1st car deal when he was starting out!). Can I help or PM me?

He can take it, if you drive like that you have to be tough enough to take the shit if it goes wrong. If I drift I know the risks, call me a fucktard if I cock it up. :hahaha:

To be fair though, I know a few people who have dealt with Nick, all gave good reviews. He's good for residuals too:thumbs:

Visited Nick earlier in the year and it cost me a few quid, a great selections of cars and seemed pretty honest for a car trader. I certainly would return if I was looking for another car.
