Im just making up an invoice for the new owner of my car.

What are the essentials that must be included?

I dont bother, I just put what Shimmy said.

Just get you and buyer to sign then photocopy for yourself to keep in records.

sold as seen No warranty asked for or given :thumbs:

You would have to be nutts to go back to lawsy with a problem after you buy a car from him

Ax and freezer comes to mind

I also ask for proof of ID from buyer and normally photocopy DL or passport

When I brought mine signed a form like the AA one, seller also wanted proof of ID, Photo licence or Passport which he requested before sale could complete :thumbs:

Include the VIN number and something along the lines of sold as is with any known or unknown faults.

Cars gone. Used the last part of the AA form.

Away to pick up the replacement now :)

Good news on the sale!

From a private sale point of view the buyer has no warranty regardless as it is a 'private sale', from a dealers point of view 'sold as seen' means nothing and the only way to sell a car without warranty (minimum 3months) is to have 'sold for spares or repair' in big bold letters!

Private sale - you've done all you needed to do :thumbs:
