Its exactly the same as you paying anyone with paypal, they then have your details.

Its pretty safe, I do it all the time.

No doesnt make any difference, its only an email address, even if you sent a money request then it still gives him basic details anyway.

Its as safe as any other details you can give anyone, no problem

Received payment already then read this below it:

Reversals:
Please be aware that your payment can still be reversed, (e.g. if it is subject to a chargeback), even after you have sent the item to your buyer. Complying with PayPal's protection programmes and following the trading guidelines, in our Safety Advice helps to protect you from things like chargebacks.

Should I concern myself too much?

If you've not got any money in your PayPal account they can't take anything from you.

All that does is provide buyer protection in case you send him a case of melons instead. Put yourself in the buyers shoes how does he know, that he's gonna get what you promised and in the condition stated.

I use paypal whenever possible for that reason, and I've had zero chargebacks and so far no problems with purchases either.

Paypal email is just your email which may or may not be your every day email account it depends how you set it up, the only way you need to worry about someone having your password then for your paypal account.

Thanks lads.

I was under the impression that because it's linked to your bank / card they can just help themselves.

Buyer wants me to post overseas using his DHL account. Where do I stand regarding proof of postage then?

DHL should give you a tracking number, if it's his account, he will be able to see the shipment etc.

Make sure he gets them to collect it via a fully insured / trackable service
