Get back down and get the Chassis number for Shimmy's Stats,

This discussion was had a couple of years before and as was said, they don't have a numbering system, best they can do is tell you the week it was built. Mine is either week 50 or 51 of 2003! So, that apparently puts in in the 400 bracket, one of the last ones. :smokin:

I would bud but it was a big one and the car was a wreck / wouldn't let me near it. Could make out it was a genuine CSL & not a rep' but not much left of it

Post the letter I have from BMW mate

If that's true, these cars are going to be worth a lot of money in 15 years. Sport Evo money:beer:

Not sure how true it is Barry, if you google how many left and put in any car it comes up with how many left

Here is South Africa...the CSL is very scarce...we only had 65 of them in total.

Each one has a identification plate on the door sill

Mine is no.10 of 65

Don't forget there are at least 9 over here in RoI, and 8 of those came from the UK I think. Actually saw another one today that I didn't know of before

Were you at the Big Meet Weekend in Athlone then Leins?
I was helping out the guys on E30 owners but coudn't go this year :( (my girlfriend is here with me in France for a month of holidays so I had to prioritise! )
Not happy since I seemed to have missed a great show! (and a big session the night before)

Who owns the CSl that was there do you know?

p.s Alpina touring was looking very well :smokin:

You looking at about 30 000 Pounds for a fair model with high mileage, and upwards of that based on condition and mileage.....so not really crazy money. Although now that they're probably only 40 odd left on the road...I think (read hope) prices will start to increase steadily...:)

Hi Ciaran, yeah but I was only able to head down for the day. A few sore heads around yesterday morning, but a great show all in, plus it didn't rain for once! Thanks re the Alpina btw

Yer man is a guy from Portlaoise who previously had a standard E46 M3, then bought the CSL last year. I mentioned to him to come on here and also about the trip to Munich next year, so we'll see

Ahh, I think you might be wrong. I am in the process of cataloging all the CSL production data and there was one pre-production SA car and looking at the data if you don't count that your car is actually number 11!

I am in the (slow) procress of cataloguing all the CSL production data. I've nearly finished the RHD production run and will report back here on my findings.
