Just returned back from my first time around spa! Superb day organised by goldtrack. Weather held all day / sunshine in the afternoon.

Upgraded ap brakes were fantastic + I could not believe how much grip you get from the cup tyres!

Lots of guys with too much money driving like miss daisy in porker gt3 rs and such like.

Got down to a 2.54 lap when the track was clear but mostly floating around 2.56 with traffic

Spa trip needs to be organised guys???

Just home from Spa this afternoon, first time on track there and it was epic.
Day one track started wet and dried out just before lunch then pissed down all afternoon, many cars stayed in so track was quiet.
Day two, great weather all day and got some decent laps in despite nearly being taken out by a f*ckwit in a Radical at Les Combes (Craig had a good view of it)!
Only casualty of the day was a 430 Scuderia that had a coming together with a section of armco, thankfully nobody injured only the owners pride!

Good to meet up with Simon (83SY) and Craig.

I think it must be me as I didnt see another silver Grey csl at spa, but I didn't have a sticker in the near side of my rear window so I'm puzzled?? Maybe missed someone.

Very impressed with the inboard camera in that gt3! But I would imagine lots of pennies!

Photos and some vids up soon!

I spotted this link on my Youtube stats so checked out the thread. I whizzed through the videos and exported a few clips of CSLs we saw on track so am sure you can see yourselves somewhere on here.

If you click through to Youtube you can select 720p for better quallty image and sound.

The camera system is VIDEO4 from Race-Technology. A 2-cam system like this inc built in data logger is £995+vat

It's bulletcam based, actually takes up to 4 cameras but generally only use 2 on training days, the main view showing line and steering wheel movement and a footcam.

Main cam was mounted on the rollcage with a 6" extension bar to bring it a bit further forward. I think mounting options in the CSL are a but more difficult, at least if you want to get the steering wheel in the shot. I have seen headrest mounts used to good effect.

It's not hard to operate video wise but it's the data logging aspect which is the main reason for going this route, also perhaps the video view flexibility but with all that flexibility comes a certain degree of complexity. Things like the VBOX which I know some on here have is simpler to operate and I think a little less expensive albeit with less functionality.

2:53.31 best actual lap with 2-3 slight holdups for traffic, 2:51 was best theoretical.

Am sure the driver won't mind me sharing the actual full onboard lap. I post these mainly for the driver and UNLISTED on Youtube, please dont share outside of here.

UNLISTED: Spa - 997 GT3 - Tom - Best Lap = 2:53.31
