Fully Comprehensive vs. Named Component

I'm going to put the Mondial warranty back on the CSL after a break. At the moment the car has 55k on it - I was thinking of doing the first year Fully Comp and then moving to Named Component as I get closer to 60k, both monthly.

Two questions:
- What are the obvious things that could be covered by Fully Comprehensive and not Named Component?
- How do they change at 60k? I'm not talking about the costs but rather the level of cover (which, from one of Shimmy's posts, sounds like will drop).

I found the difference in cost between Named Component and Comp isn't all that much, and the coverage for Comp is much better. One biggie is that Named Components doesn't cover any oil leaks (e.g. differential seals that are a given at some point).

Good call - maybe Fully Comp is the way. To be honest it was always Fully Comp, I was just under the impression that cover on that policy drops at 60k.

If you are sub 60k miles, get comp warranty monthly and it will seem like a steal once above 60k miles

No make a one off payment then the CSL feels expensive for 1 month and a cheap motoring for the other 11 :wink: well thats what i did anyway.

Mine will never see 60k so I wont have that problem I wouldnt imagine :)

I put the fully comp warranty on the car in the end.

According to the person that I spoke to, there is no step (in terms of cover) at 60k, although the warranty wording does make numerous references to 'wear and tear' so we shall see...
