just had a thought
for cars built after 1/1/04 surely the cracks to the boot floor will be covered to 12 years from purchase so 2016+ irrespective of goodwill
dya think bmw will class this as corrosion?

I think yes Shim. The cause is corroded spot welds, so no reason why not.

Mines getting sorted, Gareth said it was the smallest crack he had seen on one but it had started, so no hassle Elms got it ok'd straight away :thumbs:

Had mine checked on Friday, no cracks and still goes like a stabbed rat, judging by my exhaustive bank holiday weekend testing :supz:

Where do you take it mate?
I can't see why 80% of e46's won't be affected with the design and placement of welds and bushes.
