After using my car to ferry a groom about today I then managed to get to Donny for the evening, thought I would see Howard (my instructor but the instructor of the day) so he could show me the lines before I'm there on the 4th, also northernJim and Paul from MLR before their track day tomorrow. Saw Matt, forgot his forum name already :(
There were a few CSLs there anyone else from here, I gave a couple the thumbs up, I didn't get to speak to anyone as it was red flag after red flagg and spent most of the time in the car, I let my nieces boy friend have a drive :119:
It was ok but too many red flags and I probably won't go to another evening do.
I was the one with the silver tape on the plates :smt039:smt039

I think I followed you Dave you were going well, the track was great but the red flags did make it stop start, I ran out of fuel in the end and had to call it a day.

I can find out about pictures and will let you know.
A few of the slower cars were scary, going into corners and virtually stopping to get round, not good when you are going in quite quick and can't over take :119: all said I did enjoy what time we had on track

As Dave said I was there too. (CSL No. plate) Didnt get much of a chance to pop around for a chat as we all seemed to be getting as much track time as we could.

Agreed with others, some of the standards of driving were a bit ropey. Towards the end of the night (Think there was 3 CSL out at the time) some people were slowing to dangerous speeds in the corners. :banghead:

Ive done a few evening days at donny, normally with BaT and CD. Im not sure if the numbers were higher with this lot but there always seemed to be more traffic and defenitly more red flags!!

All in not a bad way to spend a sunny evening finished with a hoon home with Dave and romantic meal at McD's :gayfight:

.....and the supersports seem to perform quite well on track. Better than I was expecting anyway.

Hi Steve, Not a bad evening considering a few Red ones....Mainly for noise.
Was it you that I had a few laps with nearing the end ??:supz:

Bloody warm out there earlier on and tyres sure warmed up pretty quick.
It was another tell tale evening on just how the standard suspension just cant quite cope on track, Decisions need to be made on whether to upgrade or keep the old girl road friendly.

Great to see the SG's out in force with none of the slower black jobbies to be seen

I agree about some of the slow ones on track, I trailed round for two laps right at the end behind some Nober in a caterfield semi race type thing that just wouldn't move over and had no bloody idea what was going on behind him....... There was also another car that went off in front of me and had a largish grass moment but he was pretty much cruising round.......Just think he forgot to turn the wheel :119:

Didn't get a chance to chat with dave or evxlge as we were trying to make the most of it but good to see you guys out there giving it large :supz:

Matty.
