Unwashed, laid flat on the floor, "pit-to-pit" measurements are:
L - 24 inches
XL - 26 inches

Thanks Neil arrived lunch time.....looks great. Bloody long though..then again I shouldn't be such a short arse...I now have 2 one black and the blue one I had done...
I now have 2 one black and the blue one I had done...
how do they compare Andy?
Andyk
16-02-2009, 07:34 PM
The logo on yours is better without question as it's bigger and you can see more detail. Would say the quality of the blue is better than the black but then it was £20 against £17.50. Also amazed at the difference in sizes both menduim the blue is a bit neat shall we say where as the black is rather big.
Love the Moderator on the arm of the black...nice touch Neil.
Will try and take some pics of both and post. Nothing wrong with the blue but I think we made the right choice with yours Neil as logo looks more like a CSL because of its size
cool, what was the make of the blue one as my supplier has told me that the one we went with is the best quality one and washes much better than the rest.

Get them pics up Andy!
Andyk
16-02-2009, 09:09 PM
Henbury is the make Neil. The black ones are Jerzess which is the make we give to colleagues in work...nothing wrong with them Neil...when I say better quality I'm not talking miles apart mind and until I wash both will not know for sure.
Anyway here are a few pics.....they don't photo well but you get the idea......I think both are good to be honest...Love Neils are it's in SG..Good call  You will see the difference in detail because of the smaller size on the blue.

There's lots of members looking to get their hands on a 'register' Polo, (not the mint with the hole) but there are non to be had.
It's been a while since the original concept was first proposed in 2009 and about it's about time there was a re-issue, if someone can give me the information re: artwork, size, original manufacturer, etc.
I'd be prepared to take it on, promoting the register.

Thanks for the offer Mark, I have an illustration of the original Logo but no dimensions for it. It looks to be approx. 100mm x 40mm thereabouts, working off the original Design by 'bryce'.
The major cost of producing a personalised Polo, as you are probably aware, is the set up, to keep this cost to a minimum it would be useful to know who produced the originals on behalf of the ‘register’ 'Neil' (AndyK on Navy I think) with a bit of luck they may still have it on file. The chap who did them originally can't be a million miles away as 'Neil' was is in Warrington.
Shimmy must be confused, we are talking Polo's not Pampers, if leakage is a problem I'd try Bodyform, like Red Bull they give you free wings.

Thanks for all the valid comments :banghead: left sleeve embellishment now sorted.
But I still need to know who produced the originals, as the cost of new artwork and set-up can be prohibitive for small orders.
Neil got them done send him a pm and if no joy i will call him :smokin:

What about waiting to see if the Salzburgring trackday comes off, if it does include something related to that in the design?

I think Neil M, is quite keen to help out, Shimmy was telling me its a weight on his shoulders organising all this, and he hopes someone else might help take the reigns, so to speak. Why not let Neil M help Shimmy out?
Just a suggestion.

Don't go posting stuff like this, shimmy will get out his ban sign again.
Two of each ? never mentioned sizes or colours.
Size matters ? Just for info:
Sizes Available:
Medium: 38/40
Large: 40/42
XLarge: 42/44
Soon as I get the chance I'll post a new thread, not sure where though, I thought Members Section would have been a safe bet, but that's being bombarded by Tash gang  You know who you are.

From recent pics I've see shimmy has broad shoulders like Atlas, I'm still waiting for you to put your name down as Coordinator for the Northern Region? (Map in misc. Album) I'm busy busting a gut trying to source deals on behalf of members; Tyre Totes, Driving Gloves, Emergency Continental Driving Kits, etc. etc. with a lot more 'Lead Balloons' to follow - hopefully.:hahaha:

New issue is exactly as before Mark, the only difference being the addition of the commemorative Nurburgring 'The Homecoming - 2013' on the left sleeve.

Hey, stop winding the poor lad up!
Bunch of bastards you lot are.
If yer want a shirt with the Ring on it, get em made and share em out. I for one however will not be wearing "tour" anything as I have, as all the guys here know, an image to maintain of the best dressed man around town in a BMw and I ain't about to look like anyone here, especially Yanto, in some ill fitting, map flaunting, cheap material that twists in the wash and fades in te sunshine. :-D
However it it's Hugo Boss xxxL I'll have one.

Well shimmy thanks for those words of support and encouragement, it started off well but faded towards the end, a bit like 09's issue probably has (not having one I wouldn't know). :supz:
What I'm trying to source competitively, a slightly more up-market garment more befitting the event than 'Jerzees' with less of industrial look and without the scotchbrite texture. Not unlike the actual BMW M sports wear. :notworthy:
Hope this meets with your approval. :smt003

Just to update the assembled multitude on progress:
The wheels are already in motion, firstly a reissue of the original 09 shirt (in Black) for new and not so new members. An initial order of 5 Medium (38-40) and 5 Large (42-44) has been placed with the original manufacturer of the Polo (thanks to Mark CSL) and should be available this side of Christmas with a bit of luck, :smt111 further/subsequent orders can be placed at any time.
More on this, probably next week.
The Commemorative Polo (Black with Grey side panels) should be available to order after the festivities, January/February and will be on a new thread for the convenience of members. :smt055
Further developments: Soft Shells and Fleeces are being looked into, sourcing a suitable quality product is not that easy as most are already branded. :119: the quest continues.
