Hey up

Just got back from the Ring, best trip yet, decided to leave the CSL out there this season and fly in to save putting the miles on the car and the long ass drive to get there from middle of the uk, met Tankslapper on the way, did you know hes gone to the dark side and got himself a 997 Turbo S PDK? anyway it pi55ed it down when we got closer to the ring Friday evening, track opened sat night after the VLN, got in 2 laps as it closed early.

Sunday hit it and got 15 laps in, a nice black 458 fell off after Adenau Forest and got front wheels facing different ways and some armco rash down the side, around the middle of the day it got busy so had a break then it got a bit quieter later on, managed a 8.15, video below, was well chuffed with that. Nath, Nathan RS4 on here did a 7.42 in his GT3 RS Gen 2, I'll post the video of that later when I've uploaded it.

Monday was another good day on track, another 15 laps, hot sunny and good track conditions, came across a french Ferrari 599 on one lap, this guy was a right numpty, didn't have a clue were he was going and just kept going for every curb, didn't have a clue where the track went, I sat behind him taking the line and catching him up without trying, he would not move over and even when my mate in his Focus RS went round the outside of him at the end, he had to re-over take him on the main straight! lol he flagged me down at the end to tell me it was his first lap? so what you c0ck use your mirrors! lol

Tuesday was again bright and sunny, good on track, but a bit rough with all the driving, concentrating and beers at night now catching us all up, bit of a Redbull day to keep us going, did 7 laps, managed an 8.10 was well chuffed with that but didn't have the camera on to film it. On my last lap of the trip I came out of showboat and spotted a guy in the crowd waving me to slow down, I did and just up on the straight was loads of grass, mud and gravel, mixed in with body work and bits of plastic from behind the front bumper of an E90 or something race car, he'd gone off and smacked up both ends, then tried to drive off, not sure if you've seen it on Bridge to Gantry but take a look here

http://bridgetogantry.com/2/index.php/home/amusingamazing/413-how-to-close-the-whole-nuerburgring-in-one-easy-move

I got through all the sh1t he left behind and tried to tell him to stop, he carried on limping round the track, I noticed an Audi S3 flying up behind me so decided not to hang around and get collected in the aftermath, when I got the the pits I told the marshal, they already new about it. He got it big time from them and the rozzers! good tho I say.

Anyway great weekend in all, good bunch of lads, some nice motors and good lap conditions and times. Be a long 2 weeks til we go back out for the 24h race and then back the weekend after that to do some more.

Here's a pic I found on a photo site. Can you guess who showed me this line!! lol

Just watched the full lap Ando, very tidy, and you didnt have to bust your balls to do it either ! not much traffic IS helpful towards a laptime like that ! just the 2 passes and 1 move over for the Pork into BS, and a cheeky fookin dive down the inside of the SG CSL :smt018 ... judging from the oil temp gauge it was quite warm too.
Well done that man :notworthy:, sub 8 mins beckons

Cheers Guys,

If your planning a few trips get a JK season ticket, I found that this weekend, I had no pressure having endless laps, to do the fastest or try to each time I went out, ment I could break down section of it and get them right, amazing how much speed you can carry and now I need to work on braking areas as I'm carrying more speed in to the next section and think I will out brake myself but the AP's are mental so I know I could leave it later and gain some more time that way, but to be honest I'm now consistently doing 8.10 to 8.30 laps so happy with that, if they do get quicker I think it will be on a clear lap, but you don;t get many of those! lol

Found some more pics to bore you with!
