What's the deal with this? is it a problem?

Car basically has sat there and not done many miles so not serviced etc.

Obviously I am not bothered but why does this bother people??

Should be ok..It might be worth chaging the oil before you decide to drive it hard again.

I'd more concerned about a car that was stored long torm incorrectly.

Its more to do with modial warranty and HG/new engine claims. In the fine print it says needs to be serviced every two years.

It might affect the ability to put the warranty on if it's not serviced "according to manufacturers schedule". I think the schedule says it's got to be serviced every 2 years even if it's not done any miles.

Ah well then yeah I am not bothered...car has already had HG and oil was changed then as well as coolant.....also no history of brake fluid changes but it has AP's all round so would have been done then..

also no history of coolant changes which is weird??

Although it is extra hassle I am sure if push came to shove a car with very few miles would stand a good chance of a claim being paid irrespective of it missed services. After all surely as dealers have access to the BMW servicing history, Mondial should not accept the car on the policy and therefore your premium if it does not fit into their criteria.

Worse case the claim is turned down and all the premium should be refunded. Not ideal for catastrophic failure but how many have -?

Doesn't work like that. They tell you the criteria and you join up. They don't check you have the criteria but will just fall back to their terms and conditions that you sign up to.

Unless you get a waiver on sign up by contacting them don't think for a minute they will honor a car outside of the criteria.

If the HG's been done the coolant would also have been done.

Not bothered about warranty really....just wondered what all this 2 year business was about....as far as I am concerned car will be fine if sat there for over 2 years and only done a few miles and not been serviced....oil change will be all it needs as well as a vanos test as seals may have been effected slightly due to lack of use... no big problem though with vanos...if it needs replacing

Warranty is worth its weight in Gold! I would double check with the Warren G company before making the purchase, Just my opinion tho..

If your not bothered about Warranty get it bought & enjoy
