Anybody else at Oulton Park for a trackday tomorrow? I did a last thing booking today cos I've been strong armed by a mate and he's promised the weather is OK tomorrow. Got a little bit left on the cups, so figured I use them up before getting a new set for Spring.
Bet is pisses down all day. :moan:

My mate's there with his drift Nissan 200SX turbo-thingy...
It's got a 2-way diff and knackered rear tyres he tells me, so look out for him doing a lot of this round the twisty bits...

His name's Dave. If you get chatting to him, say Paul with the M3 says hello
:blalalala:
I'm at Oulton this Saturday punishing my rear tyres on a drift day. Serve's 'em right for wimping out on me in the Alps.
You at the drift dy this sat Windy?
Might pop along only 15 mins for me!

Yeah, I'm there from daft-o-clock till about 5. Few other chaps with M3's, plus my old track E36 will be there, though I hear it's been upgraded a fair old bit since I sold it!
I'll be spinning off on most bends as my rear tyres are like slicks at the moment :hahaha:
My girlfriend's heading down later in the day so I'll chuck my spare rear wheels in her motor the night before, just in case. Just won't mention it to her...

Yep, that would be me. Should have come over to say hello. Was with a few freinds with VX220, PY E46 M3, clio, etc. Track was a bit green for my bald rear Cups but when I got some heat into them they went ok. I was being very careful on the exits though. Was a bit short of traction out of the shaded corners.
Oh well, a good opportunity to get the most out of my Cups. By the time it was tucked up in the garage at home the rears were just about full slicks!
That's a busy year of trackdays now over. Looking forward to 2009 already.

I wasn't there myself - that's a photo someone took of my mates red 200SX, and I just noticed the CSL in the background.
I'm on a drift day this Saturday at Oulton to finally see-off my bald rear tyres

Was it you I was chatting to on Sat about the Lambo brakes, SLRs and Veyrons SOAB?
Some pics from Saturday - had loads of fun! Bit more of a handful that the E36 track-car I took last time! :D

Needs a bit of a wash now, and I can barely tell that there used to be tread on my rear tyres! Anyway, what the hell, it's only a lowly M3...

Good way to discover what happens if you're too heavy with your right foot and the DSC is off.

I passed my new Cannon DSLR to my shivering girlfriend and, after showing her how to take multiple shots, ended up with over 850 pics on it!
Think half of them were taken due to her shivering hands though as it was mighty cold!
There were a few other M3's there including a supercharged one running 550bhp so I'm told, plus a gorgeous CSL with Lambo calipers that was owned by a rather friendly chap I got chatting to in the canteen...SOAB?
