New owner here - picked up my CSL from Nick Johnson yesterday & enjoyed the drive home to Edinburgh. :smt055 What an amazing bit of kit & it wasn't even trying hard!

Paid my membership fee as the register is a great resource. Great to see healthy Scottish contingent too.

Would also be happy to recommend Nick Johnson to anyone - very helpful & a true enthusiast as well. Not many around like him.

41k miles. He had the 15k miles one beside it & TBH, if you didn't know the mileage on either, you'd have a hard job telling them apart. Previous owner spent a bit getting it to show standard. Front end has been reprinted so no stone chips. Thinking about getting VentureShield applied in Perth.

No doubt we'll be victorious in defeat with a valiant display but with few or no tries to show for it. A well worn script!

I've got it but if you don't get the full bonnet you will still get chips above the lower bonnet strip
great for the bumper
mirrors, well I had them done 3 times and they still didn't get them right but at least they are covered to a fashion.
great for rear arches and top of rear bumper

Was that by Defendall in Perth? Only firm up here that does this. Had a good chat with them about it & they seem to know their stuff. They did say it isn't always easy getting it right though.

I had my old M5 done by RPM in Perth; can mirror the points raised by SMac, mirrors never seem to get a good finish and sods law there will always be stone chips above the bonnet line.

Is it the one that starts SE04? He's had that for sale since October at least, I wondered when it was going to go.

Yes. Initially he was selling it on behalf of the owner (who only did a few hundred miles in it during his tenure) but then an exchange deal was done for an RS4 Nick had. I gather by all accounts that sales of CSLs has become a bit more active of late.

Baz, do you use a battery conditioner to keep the battery going between parked up times of that length?

Unless your car is a daily drive I would use one anyway, I do.

Venture shield in Perth done my csl when I first got it, wasn't impressed with them at all, it started lifting at the edges in places soon after it was done.

I've seen it done well and you can't really see it, its only as good as the guy applying it.

Not good:eeek:

Anyone else had poor experience with the firm in Perth? Quoted me over £700 - lot of mullah to spend for poor/unsatisfactory results. Any other recommendations?
