Oil Service

Car went in today for an oil service as its only done 400 miles in 2years and it says it needs changed every 2 years.
took it to BMW and i supply the oil and bmw filter it cost me £41.82 + parts happy days :beer:

Filter from bmw £11.30
Oil from opie oils 6L £59.67
Bmw Labour £41.82
Total £112.79

The car needs a donut in the propshaft and the exhaust bracket is broken i am waiting to hear if warranty covers it :whistle:

my local BMW garage charge 150 euros including everything and they give me a 1,3 or 5 series for the day while its being done:beer: at that price there is no way i'm getting under the car on my drive way with those dodgy axle stands i got in argos:whistle:

not covered sadly... broke brackets snapped on my centre pipes at the front of the silencer... ended up cutting both brackets off and fitting standard exhaust clamps for now...extra weight!! i know but bmw wanted stupid money for oem replacements.:-D

I will see but as far as i can see its a failure and failures are coverd with the warranty watch this space :whistle:

Mark, I got my brackets replaced under warranty at Phoenix in Kirkcaldy. AND I had a Milltek fitted at the time. I reported a wee rattle from underneath and the replaced the bracket and THEN told me what it was. Top dealer IMHO, :thumbs:
