Hi,

I'm new to the Forum. I haven't introduced myself yet - owner of a 2004 M3 Individual Coupe. Based in Edinburgh.

I posted a request in the 'wanted' forum yesterday for a used rear CSL wheel after I discovered my car was fitted with three genuine wheels, and one fake.

I am also considering buying a new wheel from the BMW dealer, but am relucant for two reasons - the price, and the fact that I will be having the new wheel immediately coated Anthracite to match the others.

Having thought about it further here is my proposal:

1. I will buy a brand new boxed CSL wheel (Part No 2282 999) from the BMW dealer (Cost Approx £400 inc VAT).

2. I will offer it to anyone that has a similar wheel already, but in need of refurb for £200. The deal is you buy the new wheel from me for £200, and you also give me your old wheel.

3. Your old wheel must be in reasonable refurbishable condition - ie has not been refurbed more than once already, not cracked or unroadworthy, is a genuine BMW CSL wheel, and you can provide detailed pictures of the entire circumference, inside and out.

4. I'm prepared to let you have the brand new wheel before receiving your old wheel (may ask for an extra £200 deposit in case I never hear back from you!). This will avoid your car being off the road for any length of time.

5. We each pay postage one way.

Advantage for you is that you get a brand new wheel for £200, instead of refurbing your existing wheel which would cost £50 - £60.

Advantage for me is that I get a refurbed Antharicite wheel for £260, instead of £460.

Any takers??

Would you be willing to pay shipment to CH ?
With DPD it should be something like 30GBP.

I can exchange one of my rear wheels.
It's slightly scratched, never painted and original.

PS : would you mind posting some pics of your car and the different wheel ? Just to be on the safe side

It's a deal, it's a steal, it's the sale of the f**king century.
F*** it, I think I might keep it.

Clearly that is what he has done  :hahaha:

Alexk -my apologies for being rude & not getting back to you sooner. I have the tentative offer of a used wheel which I can buy outright - this is my first option. Just awaiting pictures & details.

I'll let you know if this works out.

When I saw your earlier reply I thought CH was Czechoslovakia - I now understand it is Switzerland!
