Nothing Special just a 996 turbo but with some big plans in store for it.
Loving it and am amazed at how much grunt it has got for a standard car.
Will post pictures soon
Happy new year everybody!

Great choice Stu.
I loved mine and it was so powerful too, driving spa was a walk in the park for it. It just lacked a little finesse, and the autobox wasnt the greatest for hard track use, but great for road.
I didnt fettle mine chassis/susp wise as the box wasnt for me, but I know it would have been made great.
Awesome awesome cars and they just pile on speed so so quickly, too quickly.
I just bought myself another quick barge, little christmas pressie for me.:smokin:

Saw Evo this month - 2011 MY is 2.7 seconds to 60 (which admittedly ain't the be all/end all) is fookin impressive for a barge like that !

I have to admit for a daily drive it is astounding value for money:thumbs:

Mega value for money IMO. I got a 5k 2009 plate with Y pipe, Nismo ECU, just serviced, next service FOC too. Taxed for 8 months. 12 months warranty for £40g from Middlehurst Nissan.
With simple stage 2 they are 590 bhp, and you can reflash gearbox ECU with 2012 software to bring it up to speed.
Not much out there that does the same job for similar money for me.
Yes service intervals are 6 months, 6000 miles (but Ill sort that myself and I used to service CSL every trackday) and tyres can be expensive (1300 for toyo 888- similar cup money). Brakes can cost a few quid too, but its still remarkable value for money.
I really want a 997 turbo, but I want PDK, but only tiptronic in my budget, so thats a few years off yet.
So another GTR it is, I really shouldnt have sold the previous one, but I think you guys realise what Im like by now:gayfight:

Had a look at a GTR and was interested but didn't like the lack of serious track time due to trans temp issues, couldn't believe how quick they were as standard and loved the gearbox. Big heavy barge and like Shane has said it will eat tyres and brakes and need a service quite often this is the main reason i chose the Pork.
I bought a cheaper car because i have some plans for the car, yes it is costing as much as the car on mods if not more but will be looking at a conversion that has be timed at
3.0 sec to 60mph
6.5 sec to 100mph
200+mph
7.0 sec 60mph - 130mph
I know that the slush box isn't the best on track but i'm loving it on the roads
Will keep you updated with progress.

Turbo........911 or gt2
Judging by his slush box comment it can't be gt2 shim
Good luck with the project and keep us updated.
Who is doing the work stu, are you upgrading the auto box valve block and torque converter too?
Bealo

Yes Turbo
Nine excellence are doing the work, gearbox being sent to Germany for strengthening and overhaul.
usual add on and going for there new K16/39 turbos for spool up.

Good stuff Stu. Those boys know their turbo pork. I've had a short blast as a passenger at Brunters in one of their demo motors. Very fuckin' impressive indeed. :smokin:
