View Full Version : Waxoil anyone?

Not offering of course but just wondering if anyone has it applied anywhere on their cars. I only ask as I have only heard of the stuff and sort of assume it is for protection against the elements. I think I have the stuff coated on the brake lines on my Porsche and was wondering whether it was worth applying to my CSL's brake lines.
Is there anything I should know about applying it ie cancerous and only to be applied by experts in a homogenised environment - ???
I take it a quick wipe of the lines with some turpentine/ white spirit and then paint the waxoil on and all is well that ends well.
Any tip top tips appreciated.

It's a messy job if you do it yourself and you'll smell for days. Don't think there's any problems regarding your health ( if not had any and waxoiled all my jap scrap over the years ). Spray it anywhere and everywhere where water/cr@p will settle as over the years it'll prevent rust.
I also hear dinitrol is good but never used this, I'll be spraying it into the chassis on my Csl once painted though.

Csl is pretty well waxed underneath from factory, but certainly no harm adding some more
