Had our spraybooth in for a year now and running just how we want so time to get the CSL refreshed for next year with the following:

Front end respray to bonnet, bumper, front wings.
Lower side panel respray to rear of front wings, sills and in front of rear wheels. Also annoying drivers door scratch.
Carbon diffuser and front flipper refinish.
Spare wheels refurbed to something lighter than black. Not sure yet.
AP's refurbed.
Intrax refurbed.
Film protect front and lower sides.

Anyone else have similar plans over Winter?

Front resray and AP refurb on my list.

Front end isn't too bad as it's been filmed from new. However it's the film that's starting to look a bit tatty.

I would like to refresh mine but in reality the only three things I might do are;

1. AP refurb all round and definitely replacing the anti-rattle clips and tubes which look very rusty

2. Refurb of my OEM CSL rims from dark grey to Silver OeM with my new tyres due soon.

3. Rear Intrax refurb

Done a few bits since purchase

so far I've change the front lens, had the steering wheel re-trimmed and bought new trim pieces. Had the car aligned properly(felt like a different car after that). Replaced front spliters with older style(better fit), painted rear centre console due to marks and scuffs.(looks like new)
Still to do and recently added to the list ,refub wheels, front end/rear bumper respray and new CSL door trim sills.

Then I'll be happy

Just picked mine up from BMW this week had the interior sorted out after the little off at Spa. New wheel centres too as the old ones were knackered and new sill trims.

Asked for the old ones back. They got binned. :banghead:

Next will be off to sort the couple of dents and scratches out and sort the front bumper where it got reversed into.

Jesus, it sounds like a shed!

yep, mine will be defo be getting freshened up ;)

Interested in how you did the seats Adam? I know a shit hot painter if you need one for the bumper.

I found out my local dealer fooked a nipple on my APs when changing the fluid so I will need to sort that out. Ordered a new set of AST rear springs so they will be going on at some point.

Shimmy, wire wool and a wire brush will sort the tubes and rattle clips, put a bit of hammerite on the clips, the tubes are alloy and clean up nicely.

Well i'm going for complete front end respray from windscreen forward, lower 1/2 on both sides to fix the shot blast look & rear bumper.
Also have a dog inflicted dent to get taken out of the drivers door.

Air box has a snapped screw which i need to extract and I also have the rear seat issues.

Reading that back it seems i have trashed the car this year :bigcry: :bigcry: :bigcry: :hahaha:

i need to do rear centre seat black, how did you do it?

Stripped out the rear centre console using a guide on here, it just hooks onto the rear seat basically, poor design, but very light weight I suppose.
Removed the 3 alacantara pads, rubbed down and primed with this, I used the black version, not the grey primer IIRC

http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&q=plasti-kote+plastic+primer&gs_upl=405885l408868l2l409290l17l11l0l0l0l2l250l17 34l0.10.1l11l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&biw=1280&bih=879&wrapid=tlif132377216732110&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=11998708269831306061&sa=X&ei=RSvnTonaAsP08QOirviJCg&ved=0CIABEPMCMAI#

Then from the same manufacture sprayed matt black with

http://www.plasti-kote.co.uk/Product/pcode---4181

Was thinking about doing the plastics on the rear seat uprights too, but I think the plastic section cant be separated from the alacantara parts.

It's been doen about 6 months and still looks good, seems to be hardwaring and doesn't scratch or flake off. Very happy with it and would do it again

I bought all the stuff from B & Q

And so it begins.

Front AP's and Intrax on all corners are off the car and going in for refurb next week. Oh, and diff rebuild as well.

Organising schedule for paint to start in Feb.

Question: I have a spare genuine CSL front bumper, complete with top seal, grills, clips, etc. N/S damaged and repaired by Simpsons Motorsport. It's the original bumper from my car and been on my car for couple of years since repair. Good condition with usual stone chips, etc. What's the value? Considering selling if anyone is interested.
