Hi everyone!
First of all i would like to thank David Fischer who pointed out this perfect website for me :D i would like to announce that i became a lucky owner of a SG CSL 2 months ago. Im from Hungary, Budapest, i live in Münich since 3 years now working at BMW as a 3D graphic artist.
I never thought i will be able to get my hands on the csl so fast but i was lucky enough to find this good deal at mobile.de The car has 60k km and bought it for 39k euro in Düsseldorf. The car was stolen and had one accident, the whole front was damaged but it was replaced with new parts by the dealer. I received the necassary documents from the Police that the car has been found and can be used.
Last offical bmw check was at 55k km. So i risked a lot with this car cause i couldnt possibly know what happened to the car while it was stolen, but fortunately service told me that everything is all right. Needles to say that im crazy fanatic about this car since 5 years now and that was my happiest day of my life so far to buy this car and own it :D Anyway im just happy to be part of the club and here are some pics of this most hardcore bmw ever made :D

Hi Levante,
Was this model generated from a 3d scan (GOM type) or just modelled over some orthographic drawings?
Welcome to the club and considering your cars history it is looking good in the pics, Enjoy:-)
Munich - Wish i was as close the Nordschleife as lucky you:-)

Excellent choice of Car mate, and of course the colour is the fastest one.
You need to PM MarkCSL for your CSLRegister window sticker. Don't worry, it's not overkill!

Thanks :beer: Hi pinkpanther, no there is no3d scan used here, i used bluprints for reference that i could find in google, and started out the modell with a simple 4 segment box then added edges moved vertexes moved edges and so on. Studied really long how the curves goin on the car and the fillets and tried to recreate that with polygons. Theres like 8 months raw work in this 3d modell. Looking back to it now i see some problems for example i made the front carbon flaps too big and the hole too :bigcry:

lol yes its me, thanks man : D Where did you see my pics? i posted on 2 sites www.cg-cars.com (http://www.cg-cars.com) and www.e46-fanatics.com (http://www.e46-fanatics.com) i couldnt update anymore cause i ran out of upload juice :D but since then i teamed up with a friend who made a novitec ferrari 3D modell and we started to make a short film you can check it on my site (www.levente3d.hu (http://www.levente3d.hu)) under the LV41 tab. So this project is on pause now, but i recently continued to work on the 3D csl again, the innen hood part and trunk and almost started the engine too but since i have the REAL CSL now, i have no motivation to make more progress :D but this is the latest status of the 3D csl

Hello guys,
New member here. Been registered a while but I must admit to lurking and reading numerous threads.
Levente - many congratulations on a great car. Your work is amazing. Is it possible that you create a few pics with a csl in my two favourite BMW colours: laguna seca blue and maybe interlagos blue with anthracite colour wheels? Just curious as to how they would look as I'm considering wrapping my future csl and powder coating the wheels.
Thanks in advanced

very dated now, even more so in

It's strange as some days it does but then others it seems really fresh
I think Csl in standard form looks more dated than one lowered, spacers etc

look dated? you gotta be kidding, beside the fact that this car is a legend and its performance and background the other thing i like the most is the exterior design, its just the most perfect design bmw has ever made, i mean just look at the lines, on the side how the carbon flap curves and the same curve is on the rear spoiler. The CSL will never look dated, everytime i see other people take pics from it im blown away by the aggressive character look. No other new bmw design still comes close to this design IMO :supz: and btw to quote jeremy, il just leave this here: "CSL is Better then any BMW from the past and judging by the new styling efforts, better then any from the future as well." fuck yea

As regards CSL looking dated, possibly in some pictures but definately not in most. And in the metal, not a chance. E46 is the best proportioned and shaped BMW in recent times. With CSL details I don't think you could get it any better. If anything it's getting more appreciated with age.

word my friend :smokin: appreciated is the word. every time i go somewhere everyone always look at my car had many occasions where one or two guys filmed my car when i stopped at the red lamp lol. Here in München csl is very much appreciated, people always look at it like " OMFG is that a next gen bmw m3? love this car man. but it makes sense since csl is the best car bmw ever made, sure the GTS might be faster on the ring but only 2 seconds lol thats very weak effort from bmw after 8 years, they simply wont make another hardcore car like the csl with this amount of carbon parts cause it would cost ridicilusly fkin much. csl is the peak of bmws work imo, and we are lucky to own one.

i can only vouch from what i believe i have.
Well you never fully believe anyone who is trying to sell something as they always hype a claim.they just came extremely highly recommended and I got a good deal on my map.I'm not say I believe or know as fact who is using who's map.I don't know.but dms do claim to make 385bhp but I haven't heard from a csl owner that can vouch that claim.
I know dms just done a dpf bypass and remap on a 335id e90 that now makes amazing figures.can't remember exactly what The figures were though around 380bhp and 450ish torque.and is extremely quick.
