Camber Plates & Geo

Does it matter on type? Need reasonable adjustment for a road only car for when I eventually get the geometry sorted.

On geometry, I originally ot set up on Thorneys fast road. I dont like it. Feels unsafe at higher speeds. Does setting it to standard geo on my wants work OK with KWs and camber plates.

Also, been a while so Ive forgot the tech names, but whats them plastic thingys that go in with standard bushes (which are fairly new). IIRC they are a softer options vs Polys.

Most of your posts complain about how you do not like the setup as dialled in by Thorney when they fitted your KW V3 kit. They most probably dialled in a track biased setting which clearly you do not utilise as you do minimal road miles these days yes?

KW V3 have a fair bit of adjustment possibility but need to be set up right to suit your intended use - road only in your case? You also will not see any benefit from camber plates if you only drive on road. I would stick to OEM bushes personally but use in conjunction with a limiter kit as Brett suggested - this will tighten the back end a little.

Ultimately, why not get a reputable firm with extensive KW knowledge to set them up again for you (with a road bias) and i am sure they would be spot on.

Thats eexacty my intentions rob.

I fitted the kws myself and got a local BMW dealer to set it with thorneys geo.

The reason I ask about camber plates is because the front seems a bit extreme (-2.1 neg) and it is also uneven.

Im unaware of any local-ish shops other than Thorney and simpsons who are both 300+miles away.

I really do want to get it sorted out and start enjoying again, hence all my recent posts.

yep, could speak to johnny at jc racing in thirsk. they'll set the car up for your intended use rather than a track/road compromise.

they deal with all sorts of racing beemers and have done for years so know their stuff
