Marco Simoncelli was killed during the Malaysian Motogp race at Sepang this morning. He lost control in front of two riders (Colin Edwards and Rossi) who then collided with Simoncelli causing his crash helmet to come off leaving him unconscious in the middle of the track. The race was cancelled whilst the medical staff attempted to resuscitate "super sic" but he lost the battle with his injuries.
Really sad and shocked, the kids would shout at the telly when he was on and we all loved his exciting riding style born from the will to fight and win. The Motogp paddock has lost a true champion and winner.
R.I.P super sic and thanks for the racing displays you put on for fans the world over. I for one will never forget you.
