I have found that the front wheel bolts feel wrong when being put on, two go in nicely the other three after a few turns feel stiff all bolts work fine in two holes but wrong in others, when torqing up the feel as if the are going to twist off manage to get them to 100N/m but would not like to go any tighter any ideas as the threads all look okay on the hub. ???:banghead:

Sounds like the wheel hubs have been threaded mate. easily done on these. Unfortunately only way to solve it is buy new front wheel bearings they come as part of the hub.

Before going down the new hub route I would get the correct sized/pitch 'tap' and run that through so see if it solves the issue.

Thanks for the tip will try that, Sytners High Wycombe want £190 for hub inc VAT and that is my BMW member discount of 10% price plus 1 hours labour to fit £75 plus VAT. Don't know if that is good or not :smokin:

The studs look a good idea for all the wheel changing at track days, but still have to get the hub fixed first, any idea on thread side as would like to try tapping out again first, if that fails then replace hub. :bigcry:

Diameter is 12mm, pitch is 1.5, so M12 X 1.5 tap is what you will need.

Tried re-tapping the hub but did not work, will go for the new hub. :bigcry: Has anyone got the extended studs and then wheel nut, I think it would make changing the wheels at the track easier as front wheel never stays in place while trying to get the bolts in.
