I couldn't live without my heated seats so I wired up the heated seats elements inside of the seat cushions. It took about 2 hours to do everything, I took my time I'm sure I could have done it quicker next time. Just curious how many of you have done the same.
It worked out perfectly because I wanted to change the seat position of the driver seat anyways, so gave me the perfect opportunity to get this done.

With all due respect Cossack... WHY ?! on earth would you need heated seats in sunny California ? :smt017

Unfortunately for you not quite, as it looks stock and a normal person wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless they lifted up the seat cushion pads then they would see the wire. So the mudflap no matter what would be an eye soar all day long.
Ca doesn't get too cold, but i like to drive with my windows down and the heater on sometimes. So that's why.
Also San Francisco is the city of fog, so it does get chili unlike LA.

I guess Ca is like Scotland never gets below -15C. Wear a jersey and man up and save weight!!

Taking all this to its logical conclusion: To save the most weight, remove the windows, have a good dump before driving, then strip naked and then drive around with the heated seat on.
For the purists, smothering oneself in Deep Heat before setting off is lighter than installing heated seats.

Aiming for gas, not solids...
Anything hotter may mean one could occupy follow-through territory :hahaha:

Interesting, how have you controlled the element?
Did you mount the switch on the dash

Well the heated seats get my fiancé to loose most of the clothes if I turn it on :blalalala:
I have the BMW control module for the heated seats where the sport mode button is.
