Has or does anyone use these on the CSL, I fitted one to my RS500 before and it made a difference to the car separated the crap from the oil.

Hi,
The oil blow by on the S54 compared to the
Blue Oval RS500 is night and day.
So long as your valve stem guides are in good
condition, then unless your running a
really heavily modified S54 that
breaths really heavy, and sees extreme
temps, then your just adding weight !!!!
The std system takes the vapours back
in to the engine via the Intake Plenum
[Airbox] and then any small oil residue
funnels back down into the sump.
Most S54 airboxes I have ever seen
are usually free from any large scale
oil deposits / contamination etc..
I have a small oil catch tank on the
S54 in the E30 M3, feeding directly
of the breather, which has
a level indicator and after 3 years
I have yet to see anything in it.
Regards,
The Gorilla.
