It's a superb bit of kit Grant. I leave the forward facing camera and the front mic in all the time as i've run the wires in behind all the trim. Just tape the box it's self to the gearbox tunnel when i use it.

Only problem is that you will now become obsessed with gaining that 100'th of a second here and the O' i could have saved a little time there :bigcry: :bigcry: :bigcry: :hahaha:

Hey Paul,

I have kind of hard wired the system! GPS antenna inside instrument cluster, mics in each A pillar, Cameras stored in Sun Visors and the actual unit in the driver side cubby hole with an on/off power switch. (Very similar to Derek's install).
Can imagine it is going to get bloody frustrating chasing those 1/100th's, think it will be an expensive year of trackdays next year! Have to start building up the Brownie Points with the good lady over the winter for my free passes!!;)

The GPS antenna needs to be on the roof, not in the car, you will get drop outs and find out your lap times mysteriously get much shorter.

Part true at the Ring and Spa with the bridges and trees and elevation changes.

I've seen files that are 50m shorter at Spa when antenna has been placed inside.

How many seconds should we add onto your spa laptime then Shim:smokin:

Thanks for the heads up Shimmy! I won't be going that fast that 50m will make a difference :hahaha:
