The new daily drive

After 2yrs of ownership I sold my S8 back in Jan due to the ever increasing cost of petrol (loved that car), bought a Focus RS to replace it, didnt like it so that got punted on 6 weeks later. Replaced that with a Cooper S until i had made a decision on what to get next.

Been looking at these for a while now as i need some luxury back in my daily drive. Went and picked this up from South Manchester at the weekend.

A8 4.0L V8 Twin Turbo Diesel.
Every extra under the sun inc Elec blind, Double glazing, Mood lighting, air suspension etc etc etc so Luxo barge with added waftabillity!!! :hahaha:

Returned me 38-39mpg on the run up the road and has dropped to around 30mpg getting to and from work :smokin:

thjey are shit for winter...

nearly killed me that thing did int he snow..

hwoeevr put a set of snow tyres on and they are amazing

Yes baz Quattro power. The S8 was brilliant in the snow, just surfed Mytyres for the cheapest chunkiest looking 18" tyres and ran them through the winter months.

As above mate, cheap chunky tyres :smokin: only thing is ground clearance if the snow is deep and stopping the feckers if your on ice :bigcry: :bigcry:

Struck a deal with the missus and during that "period" she drove the Mini and I drove her 320d M Sport ;)
I did however drive the Mini the 350 miles to trade it for the A8 and that has put me off them for life :bigcry: :bigcry: :bigcry:
