The csl interior I just purchased needs work on the handles. Should i get them refinished with new paint, re wrapped in alcantara, wrap in carbon fiber, or purchase new ones. Any thoughts.
Would love to see pics with an alcantara wrap on the door handles if anyone has any.
Hi,
I would keep the car in its original form and would order new door handles.
Unlike the entire door panel, they seem to be affordable. :)

The link you posted is for a standard M3 door panel/handle.
The CSL is somewhat different!

Thing is with the door handle being Alcantara, it might wear very quickly. But then again, I'd say you'd use the handbrake more than the door handle and it doesn't wear too badly.
Just a thought but I'd agree with Alex, new door handle seems to be the option. You can always punt the old one as there might be someone looking to experiment with CF Wrap or similar.

I think the part number (and the price) is correct.
They didn't update the drawings for some CSL parts.

OEM all the way otherwise what's the point in putting an expensive CSL interior in the car in the first place?

The weight would be minor as it would only be cloth over the handle. I guess I could wrap it if I don't like it I'll order new handles, if you guys want I'll post pics once it's done.
The other reason I was thinking of doing alcantara is to match the handbrake, as I don't have the other titanium shadow trim because I opted for cf trim when I first got the car so I dont even have the brushed aluminum anymore either.

Pix alway welcomed by me   My drivers side door handle is looking a bit used  so may have to attend to it and was toying with the idea of Alcantara finish :smt055 to go with my hand brake, steering wheel and seats :smokin: not forgetting my four way, Alcantara underpants :clown:
